In an article written by the The Sentinel-News, it was announced that Persimmon Ridge Golf Club community received recognition from Golf Digest for being one of the best 2007-2008 Architecture Designed courses.  Persimmon Ridge has regularly been a favorite by many, and has consistently rated among Kentucky’s best golf courses - but this is the 1st time that they’ve been recognized on a national level for their golf course community.

Persimmon Ridge is located in the eastern part of the Louisville KY metropolitan area, and is easy to get to.  In Louisville, just take I-265 the Gene Snyder Freeway, to the Old Henry Exit and turn right.  Then turn right onto Bush Farm Road / Aiken Road and go 4 miles and Persimmon Ridge will be on the left.

The 18 hole golf course was designed by Arthur Hills.  He utilized the inherent topography of the property to the course’s design benefit.  Part of this quaint community includes the Kentucky Golf House - which includes many associations such as: Kentucky Golf Association, KGA-PGA Inc, Kentucky Golf Hall of Fame, Kentucky Section PGA, Kentucky Golf Foundation, and the Kentucky Senior Golf Association.

Big thumb’s up to this residential golf community in Louisville.  Its been long overdue that this golf course received some just recognition on a national level.  Hopefully, this will bring some golf enthusiasts to the area to give this course a try.  I’m quite certain that it will give even some of the semi-pros out there a challenge and a good time.
